This last Sunday some of the NORTHSTAR staff got to lead worship at our home Church called Azumino Family Chapel. Given the fact that we are a hospitality based lodge we are normally not able to go to Sunday service so we have our own service usually held on Thursday nights. This winter will have short term staff coming from all over the world to volunteer at NORTHSTAR. They will help us mainly teach Snowboarding and run our camp programs from Jan. to Mar. Last night we got our first snow of the season here in Norikura where we live. The entire village is white now and it has been snowing all day and the forecast is calling for snow again tonight. Last night we actually only got about 10cm (3″) but with all the snow we got today [ READ MORE ]

Today was an off day for us here in Norikura. The fall season is here and it’s amazing to see the the vegetation seem to catch fire on the mountain. As we were walking around the village today we couldn’t help but feel very very blessed to live and serve here. [ READ MORE ]
