So what is NORTHSTAR and what is the NORTHSTAR ministry like?
NORTHSTAR outdoor adventures is an international adventure lodge located in Nagano Prefecture of Japan’s central “honshu” island. The adventure lodge is in it’s 8th year of operation in Azumi Village, which is at about 1500m [5000ft] elevation on Mt. Norikura, part of the Norther Japan Alps. The ministry at NORTHSTAR is based around building relationships, serving the community and training future leaders to serve the Lord.

NORTHSTAR outdoor adventures, and this ministry was officially established in 2001. With the purpose of reaching the “counter cultural youth of Japan and Asia with the counter cultural hope of Jesus Christ” ~ it is our intent to penetrate the youth culture of Asia through youth relevant means such as adventure/extreme sports. Through snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing and more, we desire to “earn the right to be heard”, develop relevant relationships, and challenge youth to a HOLISTIC change that can only genuinely come through a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
